First, I would like to thank you for all the research you have done and for the information that you have made available.
Second, I would like to offer a little smidgen of information on the six children of David Wright Tuley (son of Charles Anderson Tuley and Mary Lou Wright) and Rachel Perlena Walters that are not listed among the descedants. I have names, birthplaces, birth and death dates of all eleven children of David and “Lena”.
My tree software is okay, but when merging data, the results included many duplicates and triplicates. I have decided to start over from scratch and wanted to ask what software you recommend?
Thank you, Karen

<p>Thanks. But as you can see from the footnotes, most of the research was done by others who have share over the last 12 years that I have had a web site.</p>
<p>You can send any additions or corrections to glenn@tuley.us</p>
<p>My favorite genealogy software picks are:</p>
<p>For Windows: RootsMagic http://www.rootsmagic.com/</p>
<p>For Mac: MacFamily Tree http://www.synium.de/products/macfamilytree/index.html</p>
RootsMagic has a function to merge duplicates, but you have to be careful as it some times suggests merging some people with the same names who are not the same persons. I haven’t used the function on MacFamily Tree yet, but I suppose that is true of any merge duplicates function.

I have done substantial genealogical research on a branch of your family that really shouldn’t be overlooked: the Woodruffs of Southern Indiana. They, too, date back in America earlier than 1700, and boast various revolutionary war veterans. Your website identifies “Phebe Haines Woodruff.” Let me know if you’d like more info on that side of the family.
Thanks, Jim Brengle

Sure, I’d be glad to see your research. Post a link or send a GEDCOM to glenn@tuley.us.
